The Matt Harvey saga took another interesting turn Saturday.
A day after Harvey's agent, Scott Boras, spoke out on Fox Sports to explain his pitcher's rocky start this season, Harvey threw a simulated game at Citi Field.
MLB.com reported that while many Mets players and coaches were on the field watching, team officials kept reporters out of the dugout — which is normally open during practice. Pitching coach Dan Warthen, who supervised Harvey during the simulated game, skipped the media by entering the clubhouse through a back route. And Harvey himself refused numerous requests for comments as he left the field.
