The Detroit Lions have found their backup quarterback.
The Lions will sign veteran Matt Cassel, NFL Network's Mike Garafolo and Ian Rapoport reported Wednesday.
Cassel, 35, will be Matthew Stafford's primary backup next season. He spent the last two years with the Tennessee Titans, playing behind Marcus Mariota.
