Jordan Spieth picked up where he left off last year at Augusta National by shooting an opening round 6-under 66 Thursday to take the first-round lead in the Masters.
The defending champion birdied six holes without dropping a shot. He is now the first player in Masters history to hold the lead after five straight rounds.

Spieth had everything working Thursday. Despite playing with a new driver head, he regularly found the fairway off the tee and gave himself good looks at birdie.
