If you've been on the internet at all in the past month, you've likely come across one of the thousands of Running Man Challenge videos. Oddly enough, the hit dance craze really took off after two Maryland basketball players — Jared Nickens and Jaylen Brantley — uploaded a video of themselves to Instagram.
They called out other players across the nation, and soon enough there were videos from nearly every college. The dance then swept to the professional leagues and other people joined in as well.

While Nickens and Brantley helped take the video to an entirely different level, the dance was actually created by a couple of high school students.
