A funny thing happened to Martin Truex Jr. on his way to qualifying for the Daytona 500. Like a middle finger, a roof flap on his car was "sticking up too much."
Neither team nor NASCAR were amused. As a result, Truex missed his first opportunity to speed test his new ride.

NASCAR stopped Truex and his No. 78 Toyota from taking the track on Sunday at Daytona. Furniture Row Racing was given five minutes to fix the problem.
