Martin Truex Jr.'s 2016 inspection woes continued to plague him Wednesday after NASCAR handed him yet another warning for twice failing its Laser Inspection System before Sunday's Good Sam 500 at the Phoenix International Raceway.
The new Toyota team was without crew chief Cole Pearn, who was serving a one-race suspension for a roof-flap violation at Atlanta Motor Speedway. The No. 78 car also had a roof-flap issue at Daytona that resulted in the team not being able to record a time in qualifying.
