Welcome to New York, Marshall Plumlee. Get used to the traffic.

With Joakim Noah nursing an illness, the Knicks needed a big man for Sunday’s game against the Hawks. The good news is Marshall Plumlee was right nearby with the team’s D-League affiliate; the bad news is he didn’t get the call to come to Manhattan until two hours before tipoff.

Plumlee was in White Plains, N.Y., where the Westchester Knicks play, and got a call around 10 a.m. that he needed to be at the Garden for a noon game, so he hopped on a train.
