Marlins second baseman Derek Dietrich was taken to an Atlanta hospital after getting hit in the head by a foul ball in the dugout Sunday toward the end of a 7-3 win over the Braves.
During the ninth inning, a sharply hit ground ball off the bat of Christian Yelich ricocheted off the wall of the visitors' dugout and struck Dietrich, who was standing, in the back of the head. He was knocked to the ground and lay there for a tense few moments while being tended to by trainers before being helped to the clubhouse.
