The Cleveland Browns remained busy on Thursday, claiming offensive lineman Marcus Martin off of waivers, according to Field Yates of ESPN and NFL writer Howard Balzer.
Martin was waived by the San Francisco 49ers on Wednesday. In three seasons with the Niners he appeared in 27 games, though he started just two games last year and ultimately ended his season on injured reserve.
The Browns set out to upgrade the offense line on Thursday and did so in a big way, signing guard Joel Bitonio to a contract extension while reportedly coming to terms with center JC Tretter, per Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.
