The grass isn't always greener on the other side. That's precisely what Commanders quarterback Marcus Mariota said on Thursday about re-signing with Washington instead of potentially pursuing starting options elsewhere.
"At the end of the day, the grass isn't always greener, and being around this league for a long time, you understand that when you have a good thing, you have a great culture, have a great room, that's not everywhere," Mariota said. "So, I really, at the end of the day, somebody was going to have to really knock my socks off to leave this place.
