March Madness: USC takes No. 1 seed over South Carolina in committee's second Top 16 women's reveal

USC stepped into the No. 1 seed line, bumping South Carolina down to a No. 2 seed in the NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Committee's second Top 16 reveal released on Thursday.

The Gamecocks (25-3, 15-1 SEC) dropped a seed line following their blowout loss to UConn earlier this month. UCLA (27-1, 16-1 Big Ten) remains the No. 1 overall seed. Texas (27-2, 13-1 SEC) moved up to the No. 2 overall, USC (25-2, 16-1) leapfrogged to No. 3 and Notre Dame (24-3, 15-1 ACC) remains at No. 4. The Fighting Irish took their first conference loss on Sunday at NC State.
