Once again, the SEC was on the wrong end of a major upset.
No. 13 Yale knocked off SEC tournament champion and fourth-seeded Auburn 78-76 on Friday, giving the Ivy League an NCAA Tournament victory for the second season in a row and providing the highlight of the second day of the tourney's first round. The upset followed another SEC school, third-seeded Kentucky, going down to 14th-seeded Oakland on Thursday.
Yale moves on to play No. 5 San Diego State on Sunday in the second round, where it will try to match Princeton's run to the Sweet 16 from a year ago.
