Manny Pacquiao said he will decline the opportunity to compete in the Rio Olympics this summer, even if the sport of boxing votes to allow professionals to compete in the Games, according to Agence France-Presse.
Pacquiao said last month his win over Timothy Bradley would be the last fight of his career, but he left the door to a possible return slightly ajar, hinting that the Olympics or a rematch with Floyd Mayweather Jr. could entice him to come back.

The International Boxing Association recently proposed a rule to allow professional boxers to compete at the Rio Games, a move that didn’t go over well with many in the sport, including American promoter Bob Arum, who represents Pacquiao.
