Former world champion Manny Pacquiao announced on Tuesday night his retirement from professional boxing, releasing a 15-minute video on his Facebook page. He last fought in Las Vegas on Aug. 21, which was his first bout in over two years.
"To the greatest fans and the greatest sport in the world, thank you!" Pacquiao's statement read. "Thank you for all the wonderful memories. This is the hardest decision I’ve ever made, but I’m at peace with it. Chase your dreams, work hard, and watch what happens.
