Ciro, this is a good time for that question to be asked. History on quarterbacks drafted since the rookie salary scale was put in place in 2011 tells us this is a critical year for Jones. We gave you the data on it a couple of weeks ago, but of the 25 quarterbacks drafted between 2011 and ’18, only one had his fifth-year option declined after Year 3 and remained on the team that drafted him into that fifth year.
