Madison Brengle, ranked 72nd in the world, accomplished an amazing feat on Wednesday by defeating Serena Williams in three sets in the second round of the ASB Classic in New Zealand.
During the match, the 26-year-old American was being filmed as she spoke with her coach, Nicole Melichar. During the conversation, the broadcast decided to turn up a microphone near Brengle to capture her hilarious self-depreciating humor.
Brengle clearly did not think she stood a chance against the second-ranked woman's tennis player in the world.
Melichar: She’s on the disadvantage now. She has to hold serve.
