Luck out 2-6 weeks (kidney, abdomen injuries)

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck suffered a lacerated kidney and a partial abdominal tear in Sunday's victory over the Denver Broncos and is expected to be out 2-6 weeks, the team announced Tuesday.

Luck felt some soreness following Sunday's game and tests taken Monday revealed the extent of his injuries. The Colts are hopeful he will not require surgery, but he is facing a multi-week absence either way. Matt Hasselbeck will once again take over as the Colts' starting quarterback until Luck is ready to return.

The Colts are on a bye in Week 10.
