The Panthers training camp begins on Wednesday in Spartanburg, S.C., but the team arrived a day early to say thanks to the fans who fill up the city each year.

To do so, the team took over three distinctly Carolinian spots in Spartanburg: Bojangles, Krispy Kreme and the Beacon Drive-In.

For the uninitiated, Bojangles is a southern fast-food joint that specializes in Cajun chicken and biscuits. Krispy Kreme cranks out doughnuts. And the Beacon is a staple in Spartanburg.

The "Spartanburg Takeover 2016" afforded Panthers fans the opportunity to see such rare sights as Kelvin Benjamin delivering a box of biscuits:
