Longtime Texans backup QB Case Keenum says goodbye to Houston, signs deal with Bears

Case Keenum still isn't ready to hang up the cleats.

According to multiple reports, the longtime Houston Texans quarterback has agreed to terms on a one-year deal worth up to $3 million with the Chicago Bears. The 37-year-old heads back to the NFC North after spending the past two seasons serving as the Texans backup behind C.J. Stroud.

Keenum rose to prominence in Minnesota during the 2017 season after leading the Minnesota Vikings to the NFC Championship Game against the Philadelphia Eagles. The 14-year veteran later signed deals with the Denver Broncos, Washington Commanders and Cleveland Browns before returning to Houston for a third stint with the hometown team.
