Lions coach Jim Caldwell wants the NFL to review the play on Monday night in which rookie defensive tackle A'Shawn Robinson was flagged for unnecessary roughness for tackling Ezekiel Elliott.
"I saw it happen out there. I didn't think it was a penalty. I don't think it was a penalty today," Caldwell told reporters Tuesday.
While officials thought the rookie from Alabama went too far in picking up Elliott and driving him to the ground, many who saw the play thought it was a clean, albeit hard, tackle.
Today's @NFL this is a 15 yard penalty.
