Tucked at the bottom of a news release announcing a trade with the Buccaneers, the Lions revealed that outside linebacker Armonty Bryant has been suspended three games for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy.
Bryant, a fourth-year veteran in his first season with the Lions, will miss the team's next three games. The Lions (4-4) play the NFC North-leading Vikings (5-2) twice in that span, with a home game against the Jaguars sandwiched between.

Bryant began the season with the Browns, who selected him in the seventh round of the 2013 NFL Draft.
