The decision was inevitable.
LSU quarterback Danny Etling has replaced Brandon Harris as the starter for the game against Mississippi State, coach Les Miles announced Friday.
The move was a no-brainer — Harris struggled against Wisconsin in Week 1 and in the first half of the Tigers' game against Jacksonville State last week before he was pulled in favor of Etling, a Purdue graduate transfer.
Harris completed 13-of-25 passes for 139 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions during those two games.
Meanwhile, Etling completed 6-of-14 passes for 100 yards, one touchdown and one interception, plus had a rushing touchdown against Jacksonville State.
