U.S. national team midfielder Miguel Ibarra is set to join MLS expansion side Minnesota United, Club Leon confirmed Thursday.
The Liga MX side tweeted that Ibarra was undergoing physical tests with Minnesota ahead of the pending move. The 26-year-old, who has three U.S. caps since 2014, played for Minnesota in the NASL from 2012 to 2015.
Leon's tweet comes with Minnesota poised to make a player announcement at 12:30 p.m. ET.
