Leandro Trossard to face PSG as Bukayo Saka injury fears allayed

With nine days until their Champions League semi-final against Paris St-Germain, Arsenal arrived at Portman Road and effectively used Ipswich Town as their training cones. That might sound blunt but this was a blunt beating, with Mikel Arteta’s side scoring twice in the first 30 minutes and then cruising to an entirely straightforward victory from there.

It helped their cause that relegation-doomed Ipswich were reduced to 10 men long before the half-time whistle, as a result of an unpleasant Leif Davis challenge which raked the heel of Bukayo Saka. Ipswich’s hopes of a comeback were already slim and that red card made them non-existent.
