Former Bills quarterback Jim Kelly was diagnosed with cancer in 2013. His wife, Jill, said Thursday he now has no signs of cancer.
Kelly underwent a biopsy Thursday after a recent scans were inconclusive.
Kelly, 56, announced in June 2013 he had squamous cell carcinoma in his upper jaw and underwent surgery four days later at a Buffalo hospital. The surgery was successful, but the cancer returned the following summer. Following a bout with MRSA, Kelly has slowly been gaining back the weight he lost while undergoing treatment. He said last month at his football camp that he "feels awesome" and is back at his playing weight of 230 pounds.
