Late fumble costs Lions in loss to Seahawks

The Lions saw how the Browns lost on Sunday and, on Monday, they decided to one-up the Browns' loss.

With less than two minutes remaining in the game, the Lions trailed to the Seahawks by three, despite playing dreadfully on offense. Facing a third down in the red zone, quarterback Matthew Stafford found Calvin Johnson for a clear first down.

And Johnson had a chance to score. Johnson was less than a yard away from giving the Lions a lead over the Seahawks. But when he reached for the goal line, the ball squirted free.
