The U.S. women's national soccer team failed to hold a lead in stoppage time, allowing Japan to escape with a 3-3 tie in a rematch of the 2015 Women's World Cup title game.
Japan was using 10 players when it tied the game. The teams play again Sunday in Cleveland. They are in preparation for the 2016 Rio Olympics, with begin in August.
