Los Angeles police confirmed Friday that they are investigating a knife purportedly found on property formerly owned by O.J. Simpson.
Capt. Andrew Neiman said Friday that the Los Angeles Police Department is in possession of the knife, but also said that police could not confirm whether the knife was actually found on Simpson's property.
Neiman said police recovered the knife in the last month from a retired officer, who allegedly received the knife several years ago from a person claiming to be a construction worker who worked on the demolition of Simpson's property.
Neiman said the knife has been submitted to a lab, where it is being tested for forensics, including DNA and hair samples.
