LaMarcus Aldridge, considered to be one of the top free agents available in the N.B.A. this off-season, announced on his Twitter account on Saturday that he will sign with the San Antonio Spurs.
Aldridge, a four-time All-Star power forward for the Portland Trail Blazers, had spent his entire nine-year career with the ortland Trail Blazers. He turns 30 on July 19, but he just had his best season, averaging 23.4 points and 10.2 rebounds a game despite battling through significant injuries to both hands. He grew up in the Dallas area and played at the University of Texas for two years.
