Los Angeles Lakers starting point guard D'Angelo Russell will miss two to three weeks after receiving a platelet-rich plasma treatment injection in his sore left knee, the Lakers announced Wednesday.
Because of his sore left knee, Russell, the Lakers' second-leading scorer (16.1 points per game), missed last Friday's game against the Spurs, then Tuesday's game against Oklahoma City. He was scheduled to miss Wednesday's game against Golden State as well.
The Lakers say that Russell is expected to be out a minimum of two weeks and will be re-evaluated in one week.
