Kyrie Irving to replace injured Mavericks teammate Anthony Davis on NBA All-Star roster

Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving will replaced injured teammate Anthony Davis on the All-Star roster.

The NBA announced the news on Monday. The decision was made by commissioner Adam Silver.

Davis was initially selected as an All-Star reserve as a member of the Lakers prior to his trade to the Mavericks for Luka Donu010diu0107. Davis returned from an abdominal strain for his Mavericks debut on Saturday only to suffer an adductor strain that's expected to sideline him for several weeks.

The All-Star selection is the ninth for Irving, who's averaging 24.
