NASCAR hit the No. 42 Chip Ganassi Racing team with a 15-point deduction and fined interim crew chief Phil Surgen $25,000 after Larson's Chevrolet failed postrace measurements Sunday at Michigan International Speedway, where Larson finished third in the FireKeepers Casino 400.
Larson now has 326 points, while Kevin Harvick leads the way in the standings with 526 points.
