Kyle Larson's Chase hopes took a plunge on Sunday with an apparent electrical problem during the Chase race at Dover.
Trouble was one thing Larson couldn't afford. Anything but a strong run at Dover would put him in danger of being eliminated from the Chase for the Sprint Cup.
Larson's car had an electrical failure and needed to be pushed into his pit. Crewmen replaced ignition parts and his car's battery. And in the process, Larson went a lap down on the leaders.
Then, Larson was black-flagged for failing to get up to speed on the track.
