Kyle Busch crashes in Daytona practice, must use backup car in qualifying

Kyle Busch can be forgiven for unpleasant memories of Daytona International Speedway. Friday, he added another to the list.

Busch crashed during practice for Saturday night's Coke Zero 400. Reason: The right rear tire on his car blew out, sending the No. 18 Toyota of Joe Gibbs Racing heavily into the wall.

"That was certainly a big hit so have to thank NASCAR for safety advances," Busch said. "Could have been a heck of a lot worse."
