Knee replacement won't prevent Coach K from coaching Olympic team

Mike Krzyzewski will have his left knee replaced as soon as Duke's season ends, but the surgery isn't expected to keep the coach from leading USA Basketball in Rio this summer.

USA Basketball chairman Jerry Colangelo told NBA TV that Krzyzewski, 69, plans to have knee surgery after the basketball season, but Colangelo wondered last weekend in Toronto whether he’ll be fit to coach in the upcoming Olympics. Colangelo said he’s "not really" discussed the possibilities with Krzyzewski, but the chairman is exploring all avenues internally.
