Kershaw to start on short rest vs. Ross on Tue.

The Los Angeles Dodgers will start star left-hander Clayton Kershaw on three days rest in Game 4 of their division series against the Washington Nationals on Tuesday.

Washington will trot out right-hander Joe Ross.

Kershaw was the winning pitcher in Game 1 on Friday, gutting out five innings and giving up eight hits and three runs. Kershaw was limited to 21 starts this season due to a back injury.

Rookie left-hander Julio Urias was originally slated to start Game 4 for the Dodgers.

According to ESPN Stats & Information, this will be Kershaw's fourth career postseason start on short rest.
