With 22 games left in their season, it now seems almost inevitable that the Golden State Warriors will surpass the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls' NBA record of 72 wins. Golden State has only lost five times all season and has beaten other elite teams like the San Antonio Spurs, Cleveland Cavaliers and Oklahoma City Thunder resoundingly.
But with the season winding down, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr is not focused on winning 73 or more games. He is more focused on the bigger picture of winning another championship. And to do that, Kerr will rest his star players like Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green in the final stretch of the regular season.
