Unspeakable tragedy has struck the Kent State football program as freshman offensive lineman Tyler Heintz passed away Tuesday following football conditioning drills.
Kent State confirmed Heintz's passing on Tuesday evening but did not offer a cause of death. "Our heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with Tyler's family and friends, as well as Coach [Paul] Haynes and the team, our athletics staff and our student-athletes," a statement from the university read.
