Kenny Pickett on Rumors He Refused to Be Steelers' Emergency QB: I Followed the Plan

Former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett addressed reports that he refused to serve as a backup during the team's clash with the Seattle Seahawks in Week 17.

"There was a plan there, for that game," Pickett told reporters on Monday. "It went down exactly the way it was planned to go down that entire week. I was coming off the ankle surgery, so it is what it is."

The 25-year-old had previously denied the rumors in the past.

Pickett was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles on March 15.
