On the hardest day of the weekend at Salem Country Club, Kenny Perry rose to the top.
The 56-year-0ld on Sunday shot a 2-under 68 to turn a one-shot deficit into a two-stroke win over Kirk Triplett and win the U.S. Senior Open.
It’s Perry’s fourth career senior major title. He won this tournament and the Senior Players Championship in 2013, as well as The Tradition in 2014.
Triplett, who shot a 1-over 71, entered the day at 15-under, leading Perry by 1. No one else was in double-digit red numbers when the day started and no one else seriously challenged the two leaders on Sunday.
