Baltimore Ravens running back Kenneth Dixon reportedly will undergo surgery after he tore his meniscus, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport on Tuesday.

Expectations were somewhat high for Dixon in his rookie season. But a torn MCL in the 2016 preseason delayed his regular-season debut, and he failed to make a significant impact in the Baltimore backfield when he did feature. Dixon ran for 382 yards and two touchdowns in 12 appearances.

The 23-year-old had another setback ahead of the 2017 campaign when he received a four-game suspension for a violation of the NFL's performance-enhancing drug policy.
