Ken Starr resigns as Baylor chancellor as ‘a matter of conscience’

The fallout from the Baylor sexual assault scandal continued Wednesday with recently demoted university president Ken Starr telling ESPN he is resigning from his position as chancellor "as a matter of conscience."

Starr will remain a professor at the university’s law school.

Football coach Art Briles has since been fired and athletic director Ian McCraw has resigned. The wave of discipline started after the university’s Board of Regents digested the results of outside law firm Pepper Hamilton's investigation into the school's "institutional response to Title IX and related compliance issues through the lens of specific cases.
