Katie Ledecky's impeccable win streak continued Monday as the teenage swimmer secured a spot on the U.S. women's Olympic team with the fastest 400-meter freestyle in the world so far this year.
Ledecky, who hasn't lost a 200-, 400- or 800-meter freestyle heat since Jan. 18, 2014, was the under world-record pace by more than two seconds at the halfway mark but fell off the pace the final 50 as Leah Smith closed the gap for a second-place finish and her own ticket to the Rio Games.
