Katie Ledecky added the 200-meter freestyle to her individual Olympic itinerary, winning the event Wednesday at the USA team trials in Omaha, Neb.
Having already qualified for the 400-meter freestyle in Rio, Ledecky came from behind in the 200 after trailing Simone Manuel at the halfway mark. The 19-year old women's swimming star pulled away from the field in the final 30 meters to finish with a time of 1 minute, 54.88 seconds, slightly slower than what she swam at an Arena Pro meet in Austin in January.
