In a shocking turn of events, the battery charge against Kansas forward Carlton Bragg Jr. has been dropped and the woman who accused him has been charged instead, the Kansas City Star reported Wednesday.
Bragg, 20, pleaded not guilty after he was accused by Saleeha Soofi, 19, of striking her in the face and pushing her down a flight of stairs last week. The Star reported that Lawrence police obtained surveillance video that proved Bragg's claim that he was acting in self-defense.

Bragg, a 6-10 sophomore, is much larger than Soofi, who stands just 5-5, according to court records, but the surveillance video showed Soofi slapping Bragg in the chest and placing her hands near his neck prior to Bragg pushing her.
