Josh Gordon's much-anticipated return to the football field will be delayed just a bit.

The Browns receiver has been placed on the active/non-football injury list, according to ESPN, due to a quadriceps injury that will cause him to miss the first few weeks of training camp.

Gordon, who missed the entire 2015 season after being suspended for multiple drug violations, was reinstated Monday by the NFL on a conditional basis. He will be suspended for the first four games of the regular season, but was expected to fully participate with his Browns teammates in training camp, which begins Thursday.
