According to an autopsy report released by the Miami-Dane medical examiner, Tim Elfrink of the Miami New Times, Jose Fernandez had "cocaine and high levels of alcohol" in his blood at the time of his death. Elfrink cites a Miami-Dade Medical Examiner report issued to local newspapers.
