Former Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel turned himself in to police in Highland Park, Texas, on Wednesday, one day before he is scheduled to be in court to face a misdemeanor domestic violence assault charge stemming from a January incident with his former girlfriend.
Manziel is accused of kidnapping Colleen Crowley, hitting her and threatening to kill her.

His Thursday appearance in Dallas County will mark the first time he will be inside a courtroom since being indicted by a grand jury April 24. Manziel was released from jail Wednesday on $1,500 bond, but not before he was fingerprinted and had his mug shot taken.
