A Dallas County grand jury ended its term without hearing the misdemeanor assault case against Johnny Manziel. Thus, a new grand jury is expected to be seated within seven to 10 days to determine if the troubled former Browns quarterback is to be charged on allegations that he attacked his ex-girlfriend.
A spokeswoman for the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office declined to give KTVT a reason for why the case has been delayed before going to a grand jury.

Manziel, who was released by the Browns in March, is accused of hitting and threatening to kill Colleen Crowley earlier this year.
