John Elway's Advice for Trevor Siemian Revealed Before Panthers vs. Broncos

Trevor Siemian has the weight of the world on his shoulders as the starting quarterback for the reigning Super Bowl champion Denver Broncos, but general manager John Elway reportedly attempted to ease the pressure prior to the start of the regular season.

According to Sal Paolantonio of ESPN, a source revealed that Elway had the following to say to the team's lead signal-caller: "Just go out and play. Don't worry about making mistakes. Don't worry about turnovers. You're going to make mistakes. But just bounce back."

Siemian has never attempted an NFL regular-season pass, but he beat out Mark Sanchez and first-round rookie Paxton Lynch for Denver's starting job and will be under center when Denver opens its title defense against the Carolina Panthers on Thursday night.
